An App Where You Can Actually Chat With the Developer

Most apps hide behind a support form and a bot. MyBabe lets you message the developer directly, inside the app. Here is why that exists and how it works.

A direct support conversation with the app developer on a dark premium screen

Think about the last time you had a problem with an app. You probably hit a help centre, then a chatbot, then a form that promised a reply in three to five business days, and then nothing. Somewhere behind all of that there is a person, but the whole system is built to keep you away from them.

MyBabe does the opposite. There is a button in the app that says chat with the developer, and it goes to the developer.

What it actually is

Inside your settings there is a dedicated chat, separate from your companion, that opens a private thread between you and the person who builds the app. You type a message. It reaches the developer. They reply, and you get a notification that brings you straight back to that conversation, not to your companion chat.

It is a real thread, not a ticket that disappears. You can see the whole history, and you can pick it back up anytime.

Why build this

A relationship product asks for a lot of trust. You are telling this app real things about your life. It felt wrong to hide behind a support queue while asking for that. If something breaks, if you have an idea, or if you just want to know a human is actually on the other end, you should be able to reach them without jumping through hoops.

It also makes the app better, faster. The person who can fix a bug hears about it directly from the person hitting it, with no game of telephone in between.

How it works under the hood, briefly

The support chat is first party. It does not hand your conversation to a third party help desk. Messages are private to you and the developer, the developer gets alerted when you write in, and you get a push when they reply. There are sensible limits in place so the channel cannot be flooded, and that is all it takes to keep it usable.

What it is good for

  • Something is not working. Describe it and get a real answer.
  • You have a feature idea. The people who ask for things in here have shaped what got built.
  • You are not sure about something. Privacy, billing, how a feature works. Ask.

The bigger point

Big apps cannot do this, or will not. That is the tradeoff of scale. A smaller, independent app can offer something they cannot: an actual line to the person responsible. If you have ever wished you could just tell someone at a company what you think, this is that, built in.

Try it. Create your companion, and if you ever need us, the developer is one tap away.
