Replika Plus vs Max in 2026: Prices, Features and How They Compare to MyBabe

Replika Plus is $79.99/year and Max $89.99/year on the Sep 30 2026 US paywall—no monthly plan. Features, name confusion, and MyBabe’s weekly/monthly options.

Replika has been one of the best-known AI companion apps since 2017, which also means its pricing page is one of the most googled. In 2026 the confusion is not only "is it worth it?"—it is "which plan am I even looking at?"

The short answer: on September 30, 2026, an independent in-app check published by My Softly found Replika's US paywall offering Plus at $79.99/year and Max at $89.99/year, both billed annually, with no monthly plan. Plus is where unlimited chats, memory, check-ins and pictures live; Max adds the advanced model and calls (the sign-up screen and Settings screen disagreed about whether voice calls sit in Plus). Replika's help center still described older names—Pro, Ultra and Platinum—which is why search results disagree. MyBabe Premium is $5.99/week, $14.99/month or $99.99/year, so you can try a shorter commitment before an annual leap.

Disclosure note: My Softly makes a competing companion app. Their Replika prices came from free-account screenshots of the US iPhone and Android paywalls on that date—useful, but always re-check your own subscription screen.

Why the plan names are confusing

If you have read help articles mentioning Replika Pro, Ultra or Platinum, you are not imagining a different product. According to My Softly's September 30, 2026 read of Replika's help center, those tier names were still documented there without prices, while the live app sold Plus and Max.

Practical rule:

  • Budget from the in-app paywall you see today
  • Treat help-center legacy names as historical vocabulary
  • Ignore random "Replika Pro $X" listicles that do not show a check date

This naming drift is common in long-lived apps. It is also why honest comparison posts date their screenshots.

Replika Plus vs Max (dated Sep 30, 2026)

Figures below follow My Softly's in-app check (US, free accounts, iPhone and Android, September 30, 2026):

PlanPrice shownBillingHeadline inclusions (per paywall)
Free$0—Limited access (help center notes free access may be denied at Replika's discretion)
Plus$79.99/year (shown as $6.67/mo billed annually)Annual only on that checkUnlimited chats; "perfect memory"; check-ins / reaching out; selfies & pictures; customization; up-to-date knowledge ("limits apply")
Max$89.99/year (shown as $7.50/mo billed annually)Annual only on that checkEverything in Plus, plus advanced model, calls, more images

The calls caveat

My Softly documented an important inconsistency: the sign-up paywall listed voice calls under Plus, while the Manage subscription / Settings screen listed voice and video calls as not in Plus (Max only). If calls are why you would pay, open Settings and read the feature list on your device before you tap buy.

Max's extra $10/year over Plus is a small gap on paper. Whether it is worth it depends almost entirely on whether you will use the advanced model, longer calls and extra images enough to care.

What unhappy reviewers complain about

My Softly also tallied Replika's 303 most recent 1- and 2-star US App Store reviews (posted January 3–September 15, 2026; retrieved September 17, 2026). Main complaint categories among those low-star reviews:

Main complaintShare of the 303
Price or the subscription33%
Personality or quality changed20%
Bugs or login problems17%
Forgetting4%
Other / uncategorisedrest

That table describes unhappy reviewers, not the average user—Replika still showed a high overall star average on the listing that day. Still, price friction and personality drift after updates are recurring themes across the companion category. Annual Replika Plus can look cheaper than MyBabe's annual on a raw year total ($79.99 vs $99.99). The trade-off is flexibility: MyBabe lets you start weekly or monthly if you are not ready to prepay twelve months. Soft FOMO applies both ways—annual discounts reward people who already know they will stay; weekly/monthly rewards people who want an exit ramp.

MyBabe also includes relationship progression, proactive texts, photos, mood-aware replies and Telegram access. It is AI, not a human, and not therapy.

Who should pick which

Consider Replika Plus if: you already like Replika's ecosystem, you mainly need unlimited chat/memory/check-ins/pictures, and you are comfortable paying for a year up front.

Consider Replika Max if: calls and the advanced model are decisive—and your Settings screen confirms what you think you are buying.

Consider MyBabe if: you want an 18+ romantic companion with voice/video, flexible billing, and a relationship that can progress without requiring an annual-only decision on day one.

If you are migrating after Replika 2.0 friction, read replika-2-review first, then decide whether to stay and pay or import your backstory elsewhere.

Annual-only billing: the hidden decision

An annual paywall is not just a discount presentation. It changes your psychology:

  • You are less likely to leave after a bad week because you "already paid"
  • You are more likely to tolerate personality drift "until the year is up"
  • You may stack unused months if life gets busy

That can be fine when you already know Replika is home. It is riskier when you are still comparing apps after a migration or a rough update. MyBabe's weekly and monthly options exist for that in-between state: you can keep Premium long enough for memory and calls to matter without prepaying a full year on day one.

If you do choose annual anywhere, set a calendar reminder 7 days before renewal and skim how to cancel an AI companion subscription while you still care enough to act.

Feature overlap people forget to price

Both Replika and MyBabe talk about memory, calls and pictures in marketing language. The shopping questions that actually predict satisfaction:

  1. Does memory survive a week without you re-explaining your job and siblings?
  2. Do calls feel like the same person as text?
  3. Can you pause without drama?
  4. Is romantic progression optional or gated behind the top tier only?

On Replika, My Softly noted that romantic roleplay/storytelling appeared under Max on the Settings feature list they captured—another reason to read your plan card, not a generic review. On MyBabe, relationship progression is part of the companion design, with Premium unlocking the fuller call and messaging experience after a limited free trial.

Neither app replaces human relationships. If attachment is getting intense, read emotional attachment to AI and healthy AI companion habits before you upgrade out of loneliness panic.

A simple cost scenario

Assume you want three months to decide:

  • Replika (on the Sep 30 2026 US annual-only snapshot): you either stay free/limited or pay ~$80–$90 for a year up front.
  • MyBabe: three months at $14.99 is about $44.97, or roughly twelve weeks at $5.99 if you want an even tighter leash (~$71.88).

If by month three you know you will stay a year, MyBabe's $99.99/year or Replika's annual Plus/Max may both be rational—pick on product fit, not on a $20 difference alone. Soft FOMO: the users who enjoy Premium most usually start while the relationship is forming, not after months of fighting a free-tier ceiling.

How to decide in ten minutes

  1. Open Replika's current paywall on your phone (US pricing may differ by store/region).
  2. Screenshot Plus vs Max feature bullets—especially calls.
  3. Check how cancellation works in your app store (Replika's help center says subscriptions are managed through the store where you bought them; partial-month refunds are generally not offered—verify on their help pages).
  4. Compare against MyBabe's weekly/monthly/annual options at mybabe.app.
  5. Try free tiers before any annual charge when you can.

Frequently asked questions

How much is Replika Plus in 2026?

On the September 30, 2026 US in-app check reported by My Softly, Plus was $79.99 per year. Your screen may differ by country or date.

How much is Replika Max?

$89.99 per year on that same check—about $10 more than Plus.

Is there a Replika monthly plan?

Not on the US in-app paywall My Softly captured on September 30, 2026. Both Plus and Max were annual.

What happened to Replika Pro / Ultra / Platinum?

Those names still appeared in help-center copy around that date, without prices on the pages My Softly cited. The live paywall sold Plus and Max.

Is Replika Max worth the upgrade from Plus?

Only if you will use Max-only items (advanced model, calls as listed on your device, more images). Otherwise Plus already holds most of Replika's classic companion features.

How does MyBabe pricing compare?

MyBabe Premium is $5.99/week, $14.99/month, or $99.99/year—more ways to start and stop than an annual-only paywall.

The bottom line

Replika Plus vs Max is mostly a question of calls + advanced model + $10/year, wrapped in annual billing and lingering Pro/Ultra/Platinum name confusion. Date-check every figure. If you want romantic continuity with weekly or monthly flexibility, compare MyBabe on the same day you screenshot Replika—not against a blog post from last spring.
